Morocco by Rachel Love
Hi, I’m Rachel, a local watercolour artist who loves creating hand-painted textile prints — designs that are organic, full of colour, and with a little bit of flow in every brushstroke. I love the way watercolour allows me to play with colour and texture, and how each print can tell a story without needing words.
For Kozii, I recently designed a new Mediterranean-inspired print that I’ve called Morocco. It was inspired by the effortless vibe of seaside living — the warm sun on your skin, the salty breeze, and those earthy, sun-bleached tones that just make you feel calm and inspired. When I was painting this print, I wanted to capture that relaxed Mediterranean energy, but also the joy and movement of everyday life by the sea. Each brushstroke and colour choice was a little experiment — mixing bold, joyful shades with softer, natural tones until it felt just right.
One of the things I love most about creating for Kozii is seeing my prints come to life in real life. Watching customers style these pieces, and knowing that something I painted is now part of their wardrobe, is such a special feeling. It’s exciting to be part of a community that celebrates colour, creativity, and individuality. Every time I see someone wearing my designs, it reminds me why I started painting in the first place.
Being part of Kozii also gives me the chance to keep exploring new ideas and inspirations. I’m always thinking about the next print — maybe drawing from nature, travels, or even small everyday moments that spark joy. It’s this ongoing process of discovery that keeps my work fresh and connected to real life.

Creating this print, and seeing it worn and loved by real people, reminds me that art doesn’t just live on paper or canvas — it lives in life, in movement, and in community. That’s what makes every new design a joy to create.
